House of EL has established a formidable reputation for creating music that seamlessly transcends boundaries and genres. With the inclusion of 'Tell Me the Truth', featuring Tom Ford, in his expanding repertoire, along with his earlier single 'Pull Up' and the 'When It Rains It Pours' EP released in March, he consistently strengthens his role as a pioneering force in the dynamically evolving music landscape.
Born as Kieron McIntosh, House of EL first garnered attention as a jazz trumpeter, immersing himself in the realms of jazz and improvisational music. Infused with inspiration from diverse musical sources such as Massive Attack, Gorillaz, Joy Division and Stevie Wonder, House of EL displays remarkable artistic versatility. Continuously pushing boundaries through his innovative blend of musical styles, he stands out as a truly distinctive and exceptional artist.
Elaborating on the track, House of EL says :
"Tell me the truth is really touching back into the energy where I’m asking questions and the question here is truth versus a lie. I feel like we live in a world where there’s many lies, I feel like the hardest thing to do is to sift through all the noise. We have people that are trying to exploit people, communities, creatives and creativity for financial gain, we just need a break and we as humanity just need the simple truth."
House of EL adopts a holistic approach to his music, assuming the roles of the primary writer, producer, and performer. Additionally, he spearheads his label, WUNDERKIND. In 2023, WUNDERKIND forged a strategic partnership with the Venice Music Collective, a coalition featuring prominent artists such as Brent Faiyaz, Kota The Friend, and Thuy. This collaboration positions WUNDERKIND as their distribution partner for forthcoming releases.
